In the 3066th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital, set back from the front, moments of terror are interspersed with days of boredom waiting for the wounded troops to arrive. Young people with a great deal of time on their hands keep themselves occupied via practical jokes, silly rivalries and blooming romances. But underneath is a serious side - there is a war on. Laughing in the face of death is essential because without a taste for gallows humour maybe nobody will make it home at all...
There are some dark themes underlying parts of this game that may poke people's buttons. These themes revolve around death, abandonment, madness and other consequences of a theatre of war and a hospital with its attendant tragedies. There will be warnings on the casting questionnaire, but we cannot guarantee you will not encounter these themes during the game. A few characters will have a significantly larger amount of material to read before game start, but again, you may specify in the casting questionnaire whether you would be willing to read extra material or not. All character sheets will be provided at least two weeks in advance.
The characters in this game are inspired by the iconic personalities of the 4077th, as represented in the hit TV show M*A*S*H.
